This oatmeal recipe can be very versatile- you can mix in anything you'd like (although I highly recommend using this Cacao Magic Vegan Superfood Protein Powder) and top with anything and everything yummy!!

HINT** this recipe serves 3-4 people!

INGREDIENTS

2 Cups Vanilla Unsweetened Almond Milk (or any other dairy-free liquid of your choice) 

2 Cups water

1 Cup Steel Cut Oats

3 Tablespoons Coconut Sugar (Or Any Other Sweetener of Your Choice) 

A Pinch of Sea Salt

A Pinch Of Ground Cinnamon  

2-3 Tablespoons of Cacao Magic

TOPPINGS

Banana

Peanut Butter

Hulled Hemp Seeds

Chia Seeds

Edible Glitter!!! (Optional.. But not really optional)

(Use any toppings you love!) 

 

DIRECTIONS

1. In a medium sauce pan, let almond milk and water come to a boil. Once it's boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and pour in the steel cut oats, coconut sugar,  salt and cinnamon- stir occasionally for 25-30 minutes or until desired consistency is achieved.  

2. Once it's done, remove from heat and mix in Cacao Magic until combined. Feel free to add any other mix-ins now.  

3. Pour in bowls and top with whatever toppings you'd like. ENJOY!! 

Egg White Quest Bar Proatmeal

Hey peeps!! Are you ready for a yummy, healthy breakfast with 36 grams of protein? Do your body a favor and feed it this deliciousness. You will love it! 

I call this "Proatmeal" because it's packed with protein. Woohoo! Egg white oats is one of my go-to breakfasts when I want to eat healthy and start my day off right. Its best made on the stove but you can also make it in the microwave (just make sure you stir every 30 seconds!) And you just have to top this off with a quest bar. Everything is better with a quest bar on it. Trust me. 

I tried to simplify this as best as I could but if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

INGREDIENTS:

1/3 Cup Gluten-Free Rolled Oats

1/2 Cup Almond Milk (I prefer Vanilla Unsweetened)

3 egg whites

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

a dash of cinnamon

Toppings:

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bar

 

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a medium sauce pan on low heat, pour in the oats, almond milk, egg whites, vanilla extract  and cinnamon STIRRING CONSTANTLY! You do not want to let the egg whites sit in the pan unstirred otherwise they will not mix thoroughly and it won't be pretty. Remember, they cook quickly! Once the oats are at a thick consistency and no longer watery, remove pan from the stove and pour oats into a bowl. The entire cooking process took me about 5 minutes.

2. Top oats with a cut up quest bar and enjoy!

Gluten-Free Chocolate PB Protein Puppy Chow

MERRY CHRISTMAS and happy holidays, friends!! I hope you all have a great day with your friends and family. I'm thankful for all of you. 

I am also thankful for THIS. 

I'm a huge fan of puppy chow. You know, that amazing little treat made with Chex cereal? Well I decided to make it healthified! Is that even a word??? Who cares, it's Christmas.  

Start your healthy eating New Years resolutions early by making this today for your family and friends. You will not regret it!!

NOTE** This is for 1-2 servings. If you want to make this for a few people, double or triple the recipe. 

INGREDIENTS:

1+1/2 Cups Gluten-Free Chex Mix cereal (any flavor; I used original)

2 Tablespoons honey OR any sweetener of your choice

3 Tablespoons peanut butter, melted (feel free to use any other type of nut butter if you prefer)

3 Tablespoons dark chocolate chips 

1 heaping scoop of whey protein powder (I used Cellucor Peanut Butter Marshmallow)

1/3 Cup M&M's (optional, but not really optional)

 

DIRECTIONS:

1. Pour Chex cereal in a large bowl and set aside. In a microwave safe bowl, melt your chocolate chips in the microwave 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each interval until completely melted. Careful not to burn the chocolate! Then add the peanut butter to the chocolate and microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Once it is melted, add the honey and mix until combined. Then pour the peanut butter mixture over the Chex cereal and mix with a spoon until every piece of cereal is covered.

2. Using a small plastic bag, pour your protein powder in and then pour your cereal in. Shake shake shake! until all of the cereal is covered in protein powder. Then, reopen the bag and pour in the M&M's. Give it one last shake and pour into a bowl. Enjoy!

Store in an airtight container or a plastic bag. 

Whey Protein Hot Chocolate

Oh man was this good! I was having some serious chocolate cravings today so I decided to throw together something magical. Hot chocolate is a winter staple- so why not try to make it a bit healthier so you can enjoy it all the time without the guilt? This Whey Protein Hot Chocolate is smooth, velvety and perfectly chocolate-y. AND it's good for you! Woohoo!

I threw in some whey protein (Cellucor, of course!) and oh my goodness, it is so good. Notice how I made this on the stovetop. I found that when you mix whey protein in a drink in the microwave, it either: a. does not mix well enough, leaving clumps OR b. overheats too quickly and the whey protein curdles. Not good. SO!! This is the way to go. If you want to serve it to a few friends, double or triple the recipe. 

INGREDIENTS:

1+1/2 Cup vanilla almond milk (or any other type of liquid you prefer, such as regular milk)

1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I used Cellucor)

2 Tablespoons cocoa powder

1 packet of stevia or any sweetener you prefer

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toppings- such as marshmallows, cinnamon or whipped cream

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a medium pot, heat all of the ingredients together on the stove WHISKING CONSTANTLY! until small bubbles appear at the edges of the pot. Remove from heat- careful it does not come to a full boil.

2. Pour into a large mug and top with any toppings of your choice. Drink away without the guilt!
